Kindergarten Kickoff

LSR7 kindergarten programs focus on providing a nurturing environment that fosters both academic and social growth while allowing children to begin to develop personal responsibility and independence.

To be eligible to enter Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year, your child must reach the age of 5 before August 1, 2026. For more information about school entrance requirements, you may also reference our Board of Education School Admissions Policy (JEC).
Online Registration is an annual process in LSR7 for all families. Even after completing early registration, you must reconfirm your child's information when registration opens for the entire district in July.

Summer School for Kindergarten

Summer School Information:

Completing early registration is necessary for kindergarteners who plan on enrolling this April in Summer School, our K-8 summer enrichment program in June.

How to Enroll

Enroll your child in PowerSchool using the early registration link.
Create your parent portal through PowerSchool
During the enrollment period:

Go to PowerSchool to the Parent Portal
Click on Summer School (Menu: left side)
Enroll your child
Enroll ALL of your children at the same time in PowerSchool - they must be in PowerSchool before you can enroll them in Summer School!
Enroll ALL of your children at the same Summer School location.
**Important** Make sure ALL your children are enrolled at the same Summer School site and YMCA Day Camp site.
- Example: If your three children are enrolled in the Y-Club at Richardson Elementary, enroll them at Richardson for Summer School.
