Six Cedar Creek students earn Pathway to Biliteracy Award
The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District recognized six CCE students with their Pathway to Biliteracy Awards.
Pathway Awards recognize elementary and middle school students who have sought out second language acquisition opportunities in their communities or who have worked to maintain the native language spoken in the home.
The following students earned their Pathway Award at the end of the year:
- French: Clara Bumgarner (3rd grade), Amelia Seidelman (3rd grade), Elizabeth Beebe (3rd grade), Charlotte Beebe (3rd grade)
- Italian: Elizabeth Beebe (3rd grade), Charlotte Beebe (3rd grade)
- Spanish: Avery Courney (5th grade), Camden Diehl* (5th grade), Elizabeth Beebe (3rd grade), Charlotte Beebe (3rd grade)
- Tagalog: Clara Bumgarner (3rd grade)
